Hand-sculpted from African Padauk, also known as vermillion -a wood from central and tropical west Africa - these earrings have a reddish-orange dark brown hue. The silver inlay is a great contrast to the darker tones of the wood in these lightweight, rectangular earrings. The earrings are finished with hand-forged sterling silver ear wires.
Dimensions of piece: 1/4” wide x 5/8” tall; 1 1/4” including ear wire
NOTE: My wood pieces are sealed with a jewelers' wax for protection and water resistance. However, the pendant is not waterproof, so showering or swimming while wearing the necklace is not recommended.
